Dodge Ram D150

Howdy y’all, of course that’s not my usual greeting but surely it’s one that would be used by the owner of a Dodge Ram D150!

I personally hate blogs that continuously apologise for their lack of posts so on that basis I won’t….. 🙂

Needless to say, a combination of being busy with other things, poor time management on my part and a total lack of motivation have resulted in there being very little going on here!! So I’ve lined up several posts for the next couple of weeks to catch up, just a little.

I just mentioned other things and it’s fair to say the Dodge Ram D150 is one of them, imported from San Jose, California it’s the perfect weekender and a great bit of kit when it comes to making road trips, I have plans!!!

For those that are interested, she (yes the truck is definitely a she) has the following vital statistics.

  • Dodge Ram D150
  • Year of Manufacture – 1988
  • Drivetrain – 2WD
  • Engine – 5.2 ltr V8
  • Transmission – 3 Speed Auto

One previous owner from new, some guy in his 80’s….The truck has spent it’s entire life in San Jose, California and arrived with all the original paperwork, I even have the original 1988 sales brochure.

Quick bit about the photographs!!

I’m still using the Sony A7r, there are a few reasons for this. Firstly and most importantly, I’m still happy with the camera. Secondly, I’ve just not been taking anywhere near enough photographs to warrant buying anything else and I guess most importantly there just isn’t anything out there that’s caught my attention enough to justify parting with my cash.

All the images were shot with the Sony Sonnar T* FE 55mm f/1.8 ZA. I tried to get some atmosphere in to the shots in the hope of achieving a moody “cinematic” look!!

I’ll be back real soon with more photographs.

Wicked ride mate! Seems you lucked out stealing off a geezer in warm places; they’ve always got the best stuff.. 😛 Not bad shots either, especially enjoying the shadowing – – bit of CA? — in the latter woods piece.

      Hey Nate,

Thanks, you’re right, all the best stuff comes from the dry states, the truck has probably seen more rain in the time it’s been here than the previous 27 years….. Maybe there is some CA, I’ve looked hard but can’t see it, be interested to know what you see.

      Take it easy.

That’s a proper slice of Americana mate. What next? A gun rack and a lever-action? 🙂

      Yes it is!!

I can’t see myself with a gun although it would complete the look 🙂 I’ve been eying up a 69 Mustang in truth….
